Fake Anderson Plugs - Photos

Here are some photos that a customer sent me.

These are non-genuine Anderson plugs, similar to the SB50.

I guess you get what you pay for.

On December 13, 2013 I was contacted by Derek Bester of ABR Sidewinder threatening defamation action. Although he did not have any chance of wining a defamation claim, I just thought that life is too short to argue with D#@K HEADS. So I air brushed out the brand name on each of the photos.

One of the many fake Anderson brands available on the market. All looks good so far.

As you can see, a large crack. Caused by either the retaining springs are too stiff, or the polymer is weak.

OOPs !!!! This is the other side of the plug.

Another plug showing similar signs of stress and failure

As you can see. The plugs don't mate correctly.

More stress fractures. From the dirt, looks like they have been there for a while.

Obviously a lot of time, effort and money spent on the installation. Shame that the Fake Anderson Plugs compromised the whole system.
